Houston, Home Sweet Home???

Well, as you all know we have moved into our home. My dad was a savior in bringing some life to this house. We aren't sure that we an call it HOme seet home, becuase it is in Houston, but we are willing to give it a shot. We just got back from a trip to Co. Boy, do we miss that place. We went riding at Keystone and our mouths were watering the whole time. How can someone leave that place? We are getting ready for our trip home to spfd. I will be there for 2 weeks and Carleton will be there duing the weekend. Can't wait to spend time with you all.

Flaarida Trip!

Well we just got back to Texas from being on the road for about 3 weeks. We have driven cross county, swam with sharks, listened to Beatles and flipped off tubes. It was great fun. While in florida we had a very relaxing time and totally forgot what our new place in Texas looked like. Now that we are back I am glad we forgot, it is a little small and cave like. We layed like broccoli and baked like Honey Ham. We lost Carleton's wedding ring, but luckily after an hour of sifting through the sand like we were panning for gold, I found it. Boy did I get the treatment that night!!!! and milked it for all it was worth. We listened to my Uncle John and his band The Fab Three. They play all Beatles music and are very good. We didn't know too many songs to sing along with, but knew of the songs that they played. I guess next time we go there we better bring some Beatles CD on the 20 hour drive with us. One day we went to Ft. Myers to see one of Keil's frend and played some volleyball. Let's just say not only is it hot there, I think you can rust faster in the salt air, because it was a very ugly game we played. Carleton got to look at eye candy, a few thongs only on old rears and luckily no speedos! Bybee said that might have been the first time he had been to that beach and didn't see one. Of course we were a little disappointed.
When we left Florisa, we headed to Houston or Conroe rather to see Carleton's parents. It was nice to get to see them and then know we were going to see them in just a few weeks. We
purchesed a tube for behind the boat and had a blast. Even though we weren't teenagers any more, we all thought we would be able to do what we used to. We even got Steve out behind the boat. He couldn't even get on the first time and we had to pull the boat next to the tube so hecould jump on that way. Danielle then took him in a circle, not intentionally of course, and threw him outside the wake. He went one way the tube went the other and we all never laughed as hard.
We are now back in Texas and I have started my job already. Think it will be fine. Have a bunch of young teachers, which will give me someone to hang with when I am not teaching. Pretty laid back place, which is nice, but I wish I new a little more about the details of the year. I am not exactly sure what grade I am teaching yet, and have no clue what I am coaching.
We are house hunting and job hunting for Carleton. He is getting restless, so hopefully the job search will pick up this week and get him out of the cave. When I get home, it is like he has been in Ash Grove all day, he just talks my ear off and has so much energy.
Hope all is well in spfd.

Summer Times

Had a great time in springfield this past week. Enjoyed swimming with the kids and getting to see everyone. Always wish I could stay longer. Tysha and I have picked out the stuff for my wedding scrapbook and I think we are both very excited about that. Ty you will have to wait for me to get moved to go through the pictures. I am not sure I will have time in the next two weeks to get to that.
After I went to springfield I was able to spend a few days in KC with Keil and Dad. Boy, did we have a great time. I am sure all of you have seen those shows on TLC, well we "moved that bus" on Keil's house. The three of us completely redid his back living space. I have sent omost of you pictures already, but it has turn into "The Lounge" so on days where Keil is missing I would check The Lounge first since there is something for him to do in there all day.
I thought everyone would get a kick out of our toolbelt diva and his co host working out under the shows tent while cutting wood. And just like on those shows we had our share of bloopers. Of course the measurments were off,not just one or two, but one or two walls! Then just to get a work out Keil decided to drill holes in all the framing to run cable to the other wall before we put up the bead board, when all he had to do was run it along the ground where there were gaps between the board and the wall. I proceede to paint myself more than the cabinets or doors and to top it off we didn't check the new outlets we installed so when we went to use them once everything was nailed into place, they didn't work and we had to pull off three panels. But the dessert of all desserts was the fact that we decided to arrange the funiture in a way that would put the tv on a wall with no outlets and no cable. I guess Keil's holes should have gone the other way!!!! We enjoyed each other and had several good laughs (of course at the expense of each other). Keil's place looks great and I finally got back to see my husband who was missing me emmensly.
Once I gt back to town, I had just a few short hours with Carleton and then it was up the hill for family time with his parents and cousins. We again had a great time by bike riding and golfing. Several good stories there too. We got chased by an ELK. Okay maybe not chased, but he was right there and very big and he started to run, but it was the other way from us.
We have 16 days until we move from georgus Colorado and off to the hot! We can't wait. -Kase

Weekend Scrappin!

I wanted to tell Kace that I finally got Photoshop Elements 4 - so we could play & edit photos, however, don't really know how to use it yet so that might be a no go.

Things to think about for this album:
1. What are you really making this album for? Are you wanting to scrap all the photos? Are you wanting to scrap your 10 to 20 favorite photos? (Here's maybe another thought: I haven't done our "wedding" album yet, but I did do a 8x8 album called, "Our Story: How We Met, Married & Spent Our First Year." The "married" section has my favorite wedding picture and then memories and then on the next page is Rob's favorite picture and memories.)

2. What size of an album do you want?

3. What sort of format, if any, are you going to use? Such as do you want to do each page differently in order, do you want to make a table of contents with each section (ceremony, reception...) and then to begin each of these sections there is a page with the "fillers" after?

4. Color Scheme? if any? Since I attended the wedding, I have always thought that using this line of paper would be great: Sublime from Basic Grey - sampling up top.
(If you think they are totally too loud, no problem. We can work with whatever :)

Can't wait to scrap and chat!

Tara passing through

Tara came through on her way to Vegas and I was asleep for two days after she left! I am no longer in shape to be going out all night at the bars. We all had a great time and made some memories and laughed alot. Wish she could've stayed longer, but I think she is going to come back for the 4th of July. We tookthe train in downtown and you would think Tara was 4 years old. I think she like the train just as muc as Logan did when he was here last year! Missed the train coming home so had to hang out for about a hlf an hour for the next one. That is what these pics are from.

The other pics are her getting ready to drive on to Vegas. She has her suit on so she can get a tan while driving, however it is hard to get a tan when it is snowing outside! I guess Utah gave her a little surprise on her way home.

Interesting Sites

Random, but worth checking out.

I've posted about Post Secret and 52 Projects, but just a reminder because I really love these sites! Check the side bar for their links too.

From one of the many blogs I read all the time, funky bracelets from Freda La. I thought these might be cool even for guys. Rob is wanting a bracelet of some sort. But he hasn't seen these yet and given the approval...we'll see. You can choose your color and your "affirmation."

The Jumpstart organization focuses on students and personal financial management. They have a "Reality Check" online questionaire that lets students, or whoever, enter in information like what kind of car they want to have and more on their "dream life." Then they get a reality check to see what kind of job they'll need to support this "dream life." Pretty funny and shockingly accurate.

The Beach @ A-Basin

THis was last weekend. The second annual beach party. The weather wasn't as good as it was last year, but it was still fun. No boobies this year though, as much as the boys tried. ALso no phone numbers, so it wasn't as productive as last year for the single ones. Carleton and I did try skiing and that was a joke. WE definatly need to stick to snowboarding. These are our friends that will be missed when we move in a few weeks.
oh, i think I might have gotten a job. Let's cross our fingers today, I should hear from the guy later today.
Hope all is well in spfd. We, as always, are having a blast and doing well.
love ya

Playing Hooky!!!! in Breckenridge

Wanted ya'll to enjoy our hooky day with us. We went to Breckenridge on tuesday night and stayed in the condo that Carleton's dad has hooked up for us and then we played Golf. We had a great day, it was georgus not a cloud in the sky! I didn't play that great, but had a few nice puts and did shoot a 53 on the back. Carleton chipped one in from behind a hill about 20 yards away, it was great.
